CT revisited

It turns out there's a far more detailed analysis of my CT from another doctor. The way that the first read I thought that was the secondary. This one isn't "bad" per se, but it isn't what I'd like.

The left anterior descending artery shows some blockage, described as mild, non-obstructing. When I asked the AI for more detail, it said that these are the sort of results that prompt preventative measures, but not any immediate or urgent mitigation. It's also possible that the plaque build up occurred prior to my starting of statins 5.5 years ago. So the bottom line is that it's hard to say if triglycerides are linked, but the right thing to do is to try and get them down. That involves pulling the most obvious lever, which means getting off my ass. Ideally I need to reduce my carb intake, which seems like not living, in some ways. I suppose if you're active enough, that matters less.

This is actually more along the lines of what I expected, but it still sucks to hear it, even if the point was to know and do something with that information. These results actually put me in the high-average cohort of people my age, if that matters. I can only imagine where I'd be if I hadn't started the statins.
